Earl William Threadgould, Jr.
of Mason, MI

Earl was born on March 28, 1943, in Ann Arbor, Michigan to Earl Sr. and Madeline Threadgould. He died on March 9, 2011 in Lake Wales, Florida.

Earl is survived by his wife of 41 years, Suzanne; son and daughter-in-law, Phillip and Melissa Threadgould; daughter Tiffany Threadgould; sister and brother-in-law Linda and Lewis Wells; and two grandchildren, Marina and Anderson Threadgould.

Earl received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees from MSU. He met his wife Suzanne in El Salvador where they both served as Peace Corps volunteers. He worked as an MSU Extension 4-H Youth Agent for 26 years. He was an avid gardener and market master of the Merdian Township Farmers Market.

He was an active member, a deacon, and an elder of the First Presbyterian Church in Mason, Michigan. He will be remembered for his fun-loving nature, his devotion to his family, and to Christ.

Calling hours will be at Ball Dunn Funeral Home in Mason, Michigan on Friday, March 18 from 5 – 8 PM. The funeral will take place at First Presbyterian Church in Mason on Saturday, March 19 at 11 AM. A lunch at the church will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, a gift may be made in Earl Threadgould’s memory to the First Presbyterian Church of Mason or The Michigan 4-H Foundation.
